Troy Stratos is a man of many passions. Whilst he originally got his start as a director of films and music videos, he has found his way into several different entrepreneurial pursuits and artistic endeavors.

He earned his experience as a director on the productive side of films through internship programs. He was selected to the Columbia Pictures Director’s Intern Program, one of 13 chosen out of a total of 5000 applicants.

While serving this internship, he was responsible for covering the reunion of the Arab League in 1988. He filmed various heads of state for networks like CNN, and the Great Pharaoh’s Rally, a ten day road race that was held in honor of the political occasion.

After this, when he returned to the US, he took a job as the director of the Stars Talent Agency, in Los Angeles, California. This was a time of networking and connection with models, photographers, and other luminaries in the film production field. He was responsible for putting on the production of fashion shows and other kinds of events.

Following Stars, he went to work for Paramount Pictures, as the Director of Worldwide Marketing for Paramount Images. This was the branch of the company that dealt with music videos and with marketing and promoting them in competition against independent videos. He served in this capacity until the company was bought out by Viacom, and Images was dissolved.

In 1993, Troy Stratos was taken in by Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown. This relationship was something along the lines of a professional apprenticeship. He worked at first as a speech writer, and eventually became free to follow other pursuits, continuing to direct films and music projects.

At the moment, Troy Stratos has returned to the world of fashion. He is currently involved with several different fashion lines for men and women.
